The Sugar Pantry

Hello there! We're at it again! This time, we're venturing further away from campus area, and we took a drive to Taman Molek! In Johor Bahru, Taman Molek is well known for housing the best coffee houses in town, dishing out amazing spots worthy of blog or Instagram posts.

This time, we visited a cozy tea house/bakery, which is a beautiful place for afternoon tea alike - The Sugar Pantry. It is fairly Japanese themed, with the food items being made with Japanese ingredients such as sakura and the list goes on. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a neat environment, very Japanese like.

Indoor seating area

The entire shop consists of a single storey with a mezzanine floor that allows customers to view the ground floor from above!

Summer Peach Tea @ RM 9
This peach tea is perfect for a warm day, it's beautiful concoction and presentation makes us want to have sip after sip.

Creamy Pumpkin Soup @ RM 9

Japanese curry chicken katsu rice @ RM 17.50

Chicken ham egg benedict @ RM 18.00
The egg was runny and it was a perfect match with the ham, but the bread was a tad too chewy for our tastes and the greens were albeit too raw.

Comment: Took them a while to serve our food even though there wasn't many customers around.
